About Sunnybank

Sunnybank Nursery was established in 1993 and has been in the Cannon Family ever since. Dr Peter Cannon and his wife Alison took sole ownership of the Nursery in 2008 and have led us to be a popular and well sought after setting.

Sunnybank Nursery is registered for children ages 0 - 8 years and provides holiday care for children who have previously attended the Nursery. The Nursery is open from 7am - 6pm Monday - Friday all year round except for Bank Holidays and one week at Christmas.

Sunnybank Nursery provides a warm, relaxed, inclusive and most importantly homely environment in which children can flourish to the best of their capabilities. We pride ourselves in our standards of care and positive relationships with our children, parents and wider families.

"Many little things light up hungry little minds.

Kids take everything in, and even the smallest things you do with them can make a big difference.

They love it when you chat, play and read with them, even when they’re too young to understand everything.

Whatever the time and wherever you are, you can turn almost anything into a game.

And every little thing you do together will help set them up nicely for the day they start school."

(Hungry Little Minds Campaign)

We are proud supporters of the Department for Education's Hungry Little Minds Campaign to support parents with activities and learning opportunities at home.

Our Home Learning Co-ordinator at Nursery is Iona and she has lot's of exciting links to the Hungry Little Minds resources and other activity ideas to share with you.

Our Menu Plans
The Nursery offers a variety of foods at breakfast, lunch and tea and also healthy snacks throughout the day. All menus have been uploaded onto this page in advance for you to view.  The menu's run on a  2 weekly basis, ensuring a variety of foods are on offer to the children.  We also have a selection of Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter menu's as well to meet the needs of the children. The Nursery has an on site cook, who prepares all the meals on the day.  Not only are our meals healthy, but include exciting new tastes and ideas for the children to enjoy. We try to be as sustainable as possible at Nursery by growing our own fruits and vegetables in our garden area!

Please see the link below for this weeks Menu.
