Hares

The Hares room has been decorated in neutral, warming colours providing the children with a welcoming environment.  The Pre-school room is situated within a separate building from the main bungalow, allowing us to offer the older children privacy and independence.  They have their own outdoor facilities, offering a constant free flow to our outdoor learning environment which includes a number of continually resourced activities such as a sand and water tray, music wall and Eco garden.  The building has its own hand washing and toileting facilities to be used by the children , encouraging independence.  

The pre-school group is run daily by Carley (Curriculum Co-Ordinator), supported by Katie (Teacher) and Iona (Deputy Manager). All members of staff having been with us for many years are able to provide continuity, consistency, and constantly evolving provision to our oldest children.

Many families of children in this age group will be thinking about school places for their little ones. If your child is due to start primary school and you live in Derbyshire, you need to apply for your child’s school place through Derbyshire County Council. They have guides for Parents and Carers to help you with applying for your child’s school place.
